Ahmed was reeking sweat as he climbed onto the Alexandria Tram.
Today’s training was excessively exhausting. He was sweating furiously and the slow, pulsating pain in his knees could only mean that the rest of the evening would be spent in the relaxation of a cold bath followed by a long and fulfilling sleep. He had started football at five-years-old; and at twelve, football training and the Tram trip back home were more than simple routine: they had started to feel… right. His right hand lowered his knapsack to his feet as his left reached up to hold onto the handlebar.
